Niamh Jones

Niamh has beautiful energies and is an inspiring teacher of yoga Boot camps, Bikram, Vinyasa, Restorative and Meditation and Pilates.

Niamh is a 500 hr advanced Yoga Teacher and has been teaching since 2001 and has been teaching at the Burren Yoga Retreat since 2004.

She has a lovely easy going personality and takes the time with each person to ensure they understand the practices and also encourages each person in a wonderful way to reach their own potential. 

She is passionate in helping people to start a home practise as she believes Yoga and Meditation are invaluable tools for life, an inner journey which we grow and expand with for the rest of our lives.     

 

Niamh has completed a number of yoga teacher training courses, and teaches a wide range of forms of yoga including Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga, Bikram yoga, Restorative yoga and meditation.  She is also a qualified Pilates teacher. 

Some of her classes are soft and gentle, others are dynamic and challenging, and others work with internal energies and will leave you deeply relaxed on all levels.

Niamh uses her huge experience to tailor the classes so that each person works to their own ability, and there is no comparison with anybody else.

Niamh has been practicing Energy Healing for the past 15 years as a Shamanic Healer and Reiki Practitioner.  She has trained as a Sound Healer and sometimes brings this amazing practise of the Gong, Tibetan Bowel and Chimes into her retreats.  

She has found by weaving a combination of these practises into her retreats it brings your practise to a far deeper level.   

Niamh’s years of teaching experience also gives her the ability to teach complete beginners of all ages and all fitness levels, so everybody will be challenged to their own level.  Niamh adapts the postures and her teaching so that everyone of all ages feel comfortable in her classes.

Niamh is always curious and open to learning more and at present is training in Qi Gong the Chinese Method of Energy Medicine,  an awareness-based movement and self-healing technique which brings more energetic dimensions into your Yoga Practise.

She is owner of a very successful Yoga, Meditation and Pilates studio in Galway open 10 years now.

Niamh maintains her own daily yoga and meditation practice and is continually attending workshops and furthering her own studies.
