This 6 night retreat is taught by very experienced teacher Niamh Jones who has been teaching here for over 21 years.

This 6 night includes a Detox Heath Coaching session where you will receive tips on how you can detox through eating to have a healthy gut and immune system.  It will contain which food are best to detox the liver.

The yoga classes have been specially designed to aid the detox process.

A week of Movement, Fun & Awareness while you Detox

Vinyasa Detox Flow class

Detoxification is about stimulating, cleansing, and nourishing the body from the inside out.

This Detox Flow Yoga class explores Sun salutations and other effective poses—unique movement combinations that are designed to stimulate the circulatory and lymphatic systems (helps rid the body of toxins).

The postures in this flow are also designed to specially work on the digestive organs in the body in particular the Liver and Kidneys and will help remove the physical and emotional toxins that prevent you from achieving optimal health. 

Bikram Hot Yoga

Hot Yoga is designed to sweat out toxins from the body !! This is the ultimate detox class helping to clear out any toxins in your body. 

This is a whole body workout stretching and toning every part of the body from the inside out.

Energy Detox Flow

We will continue with postures that are designed specifically to work on the  systems of the body that are most important for releasing toxins. 

We will include Qi Gong sequences to purify the energetic body and chakra cleansing sequences. 

All of this coupled with the deep cleansing and energising sound of the Gongs and Tibetan Bowl will not only detox the physical body but also release blocked energy.

Detox Health Coaching session

To finish this week long retreat you will receive my top tips in my Health Coaching Session on all the ways we can detox through eating to have a healthy gut and the immune system along with what the best foods are to detox our liver (the main detox organ). 

We will also look at ways to reduce toxic load on our bodies through our environment and surroundings.

Meditation

Daily breath-focused meditation to become aware of the gaps within the thoughts and to learn to let go of the inner chatter to bring a sense of calm and inner balance.

Healthy Delicious Food to aid Detox

Hi, I’m Claire Creaven, I’m delighted to welcome you to the Burren Yoga Retreat.

The food at this retreat will focus on whole ingredients, simply prepared, to make eating easy on your system.

The idea is to flood your body with nutrients while giving your digestive system a break.

Here at the Burren Yoga Retreat we use only fresh, organic vegetables, fruits, legumes, nuts, seeds and wholefoods.

Foods that commonly cause inflammation or are hard to digest are removed: no meat, dairy, gluten, refined sugar, caffeine, or alcohol.

At the centre we never offer meat or alcohol and this retreat will see no dairy, gluten, sugar or caffeine either.

However, there will be plenty of alternatives and delicious dishes.

The meals are designed to feel light but satisfying and helping to boost energy. It’s about clean eating to help your body reset naturally.

This beautiful class will realign you on all levels, remove all unwanted blockages from your energy field and chakras and raise the vibrational frequency of every cell of your body.

Niamh's training & background

Niamh is a 500 hour advanced Yoga Teacher and has been teaching since 2001 and has been teaching at the Burren Yoga Retreat since 2004.

Niamh has completed a number of yoga teacher training courses, and teaches a wide range of forms of yoga including Vinyasa flow, Hatha yoga, Bikram yoga, Restorative yoga and meditation. She is also a qualified Pilates teacher.

Niamh has been practicing Energy Healing for the past 15 years as a Shamanic Healer and Reiki Practitioner. She has trained as a Sound Healer and sometimes brings this amazing practise of the Gong, Tibetan Bowel and Chimes into her retreats.

Niamh is trained in Qi Gong the Chinese Method of Energy Medicine, an awareness-based movement and self-healing technique which brings more energetic dimensions into your Yoga Practise.

She is owner of a very successful Yoga, Meditation and Pilates studio in Galway open 10 years now.

Niamh maintains her own daily yoga and meditation practice and is continually attending workshops and furthering her own studies.

Through her 20 years of trainings in various types of Yoga, Pilates, Meditation and Energy Work she brings a very unique quality and variety of classes to her retreats.
