Margarida's training and background

Margarida Tree is originally from Canada, and owned and operated her yoga shala for 15 years in Florida before moving to Ireland.

She has been teaching for 28 years with a down to earth approach arising from an appreciation of both the eastern practice and the western lifestyle. Margarida makes the yoga practise accessible to everyone and encourages her students to do a consistent practice in order to improve health on a mental, physical and emotional level.

Margarida studied Kundalini in Canada and enjoyed the awareness of Prana, breath and the energy system.

In Florida she trained with an Iyengar teacher, learning the benefits of alignment and how to properly use props to support oneself, as well as restorative Yoga.

During her first teacher training, she fell in love with Ashtanga and movement with the breath, which gave her a meditative practice, where the thinking mind could rest as knowing the sequence the body knows where it is going.

Her Ashtanga roots have given her the training and the sequence intelligence which supports her in creating a vinyasa class or a customised practice for individual students.

These days Margarida teaches a softer Hatha flow form of yoga.
