Hatha yoga and meditation

Tara teaches both Hatha yoga, and also Restorative yoga.  

Tara’s hatha yoga classes often start with gentle opening stretches, focused asana and gradually building to stronger practice in an explorative way.

Tara has worked with people of all levels and abilities including students with knee/hip replacements, back problems as well as fit and able people of all ages.

She is experienced at adapting the practice to suit each individual, and encourages each person to listen inwardly and to practice to the level that feels right for you.  

She will support and encourage you to explore, be curious and to never work into pain.  It is ok to challenge ourselves but we should always respect our own bodies and our own limitations.

The classes in the morning will be more energising and in the afternoon more relaxing on this yoga and meditation retreat.

Lunch on Saturday as during our outing we stop at one of the local cafes to sample the best local cuisine.

20:15   One-to-one chat with the teacher about any health conditions or special requests

21:00   Welcome meeting and introduction to the retreat

21:25   Breathwork and Yoga Nidra deep relaxation

08:00  Meditation including introduction for beginners

Tara's training & background

Tara has been practising yoga for over 23 years and has practised many forms of yoga including Hatha, restorative, ashtanga, and vinyasa flow.

She believes that each of us can use yoga and meditation to get in touch with ourselves, to listen deeply inward and to learn how to accept who we are and to get in touch with our true inner meaning and purpose in life.

She completed her first teacher training course with Ciara Cronin in The Yoga Room in Dublin in 2015 and went on to complete her 500-hour teacher training in 2018.

Over the years Tara has also completed various meditation courses with the Dublin Buddhist Centre as well as a Chakra Course with Swami Nishchalananda.  She keeps up her yogic studies and is being mentored by Michael McCann and attend regular yoga workshops.

Tara’s goal is to help people live their own truth with purpose and meaning and uses yoga and self-awareness practices to help each person to follow their own path.
