Quality hatha flow and yin yoga weekend 

Aoife teaches Hatha Flow and Yin yoga and meditation.    

In her Hatha flow classes one’s focus is maintained on the breath, and coordinating the breath with the flowing movements.  Aoife’s Yin yoga is more relaxing and restorative. 

Aoife is a wonderful teacher whose passion for passing on the beautiful values and skills of yoga to her students is so evident in every class.

She is a natural teacher and her warm and caring personality makes going to classes with her a real treat.

Sequences will flow from simple to more energetic – this class will tone, strengthen and increase flexibility.

The class in the morning will be more energising and in the afternoon more relaxing on this yoga and meditation weekend. 

The Yin class will consist of long-held seated poses where poses will be held typically held for 3 to 6 mins to access the body’s connective tissue. This stretches and tones ligaments, joint capsules, tendons, bones and all the body’s fascia preventing inflammation and improving mobility.

There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.  A lovely combination of classes, outing on Satruday and amazing vegetarian food on this yoga and meditation weekend.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.

You are surrounded by a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.

There are lovely places to swim in the sea or in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the weekend.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food.  Our chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Aoife will give more gentle variations to anybody who needs it, and will also challenge those who are ready for it.

Aoife has a passion for passing on the beautiful values and skills of yoga to her students and this is so evident in every class.

She is a natural teacher and her warm and caring personality makes going to classes with her a real treat.

Aoife teaches Hatha Flow yoga and Yin yoga and meditation.

Aoife Ni Mhurchu came across yoga in 2003 and knew that she had discovered something special that resonated deeply with her.

Yoga and meditation have had a profoundly positive effect on her approach to life and over the years this developed into a passion and a way of life.

Aoife has tried out many styles of yoga over the years as well as attending Vipassana meditation retreats.

Aoife completed her first yoga teacher training course in 2013.

Aoife studied Raj Yoga in 2014, Transformational Hatha Yoga and Yoga Therapy with Lisa Temple and was awarded my 500h Certification in May 2015.

In October 2015 she trained in Prenatal Yoga at the Transformational Hatha Yoga School in Greece with Michelle Kaminski.  Aoife also attended workshops with the Uma Dinsmore-Tuli who specialises in Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Womb Yoga.

Aoife was delighted to complete her Yin Yoga training with Josh Summers in June 2018.

And in July 2020 completed another Yin Yoga training with Grace Tempany.
