Aoife Ni Mhurchu

Aoife’s passion for passing on the beautiful values and skills of yoga to her students is so evident in every class.

Aoife Ni Mhurchu came across yoga in 2003 and knew that she had discovered something special that resonated deeply with her.

Yoga and meditation have had a profoundly positive effect on her approach to life and over the years this developed into a passion and a way of life.

Aoife has tried out many styles of yoga over the years as well as attending Vipassana meditation retreats.

Aoife completed her first yoga teacher training course in 2013. 

Always aware that we can learn more as the years go by, Aoife has also trained with Josh Summers, Lisa Peterson, Tony Purcell, Lisa Temple, Swami Vidyanand, and Teresa Murphy-Moore.

Aoife studied Raj Yoga in 2014, Transformational Hatha Yoga and Yoga Therapy with Lisa Temple and was awarded her 500h Certification in May 2015

In October 2015 she trained in Prenatal Yoga at the Transformational Hatha Yoga School in Greece with Michelle Kaminski.  Aoife also attended workshops with the Uma Dinsmore-Tuli who specialises in Pre and Post Natal Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Womb Yoga.  

Aoife was delighted to complete her Yin Yoga training with Josh Summers in June 2018.

And in July 2020 completed another Yin Yoga training with Grace Tempany.

Aoife has worked with many people from children, teenagers and adults both men and women, pregnant women, new moms and their babies and trainee teachers as a guest teacher on various teacher training courses. 

Aoife mainly teaches a flowing form of Hatha yoga and also Yin yoga which she loves.  The “Yin” approach to yoga is something Aoife believes is so important in the world today, where we often prioritise success as going faster, working harder, doing more.  Yin teaches us the value of finding stillness, and softness, the benefit of doing less.

On Aoife’s retreats, she teaches Hatha Flow Yoga which is enlivening, dynamic and energising and suitable for all ages and all levels of fitness.

In the afternoon classes, she teaches Yin yoga where her teaching will lead you to very deep states of letting go.

Aoife teaches breath focussed meditation every morning and evening.  By the end of the retreat, you will be familiar with the technique and we will encourage and inspire you to continue the practice on a daily basis when you return home.
