Getting From Dublin city

Getting from Dublin city to the Burren Yoga Retreat

Arrival time at the Burren Yoga Retreat

Between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm

We ask all guests to arrive between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm on your day of arrival.

We eat dinner at 7:00 pm

If you are arriving for the start of a retreat on a Friday, please be aware that our retreat coordinator arrives at the centre approx. 4:00 pm to check all the bedrooms and make sure that the retreat centre is ready to welcome guests from 5:00 pm

There may be nobody there before 4:00 pm, so it is advised to wait until 5:00 pm to arrive.

Dublin airport is different to Dublin city

If you are flying into Dublin airport, please be aware that Dublin city is a long bus journey from Dublin airport.

Please see Getting from Dublin airport to the Burren Yoga Retreat

Car Hire gives more choice

If you hire a car, it gives you freedom to explore the Burren area during your free time.

We may go to a beautiful place during our guided outings, and you may want to return there on your own.

In Ireland, Rental Car prices vary quite a bit, so best to get at least 3 quotations from separate companies before deciding.

It takes approx 3 hours to drive from Dublin airport to the Burren Yoga Retreat.

Please see Tab Driving Directions at the Getting Here page from the Contacts page.

Bus or Train

You could either take the train from Dublin to Gort or the bus.

In Ireland, the bus is faster than the train and has many more times to choose from.

This may be more important for your return journey.

Train

The train station in Dublin where the bus to Galway departs is called Dublin Hueston.

To get to Gort, you would need to get off at the station in Athenry and change trains.

From Athenry, take the Limerick train and get off at Gort.

Bus

Personally I believe the bus is the best option as it is faster and has more times to choose from than the train.

The Citylink bus station in Dublin where the bus to Galway departs is called Bachelor’s Walk on the Quays near O’Connell Bridge.

There is a toilet and WiFi on board.
