Retreat rules
Alcohol free retreat
There is no alcohol consumed from the retreat start date until the end of the retreat. This includes if you visit a local eatery for lunch even if they can serve alcohol.
This is in keeping with the Burren Yoga Retreat Ethos.
Digital Device free retreat
Experience an environment without phones, wifi, internet, radio, or newspapers.
Phones should be turned off or set to airline mode.
If you need to make an important phone call, please do so out of sight and out of earshot of other guests. Other guests may be making a big effort to leave this behind for the retreat, and it may make it more challenging for them.
We recommend that you take a complete digital detox.
However, there is WiFi access in the upstairs lounge for emergency use. If you need to use it, we ask you to be mindful of your fellow guests and their need for peace and quiet and lack of intrusion from the external world outside the retreat.
The landline number of Burren Yoga Retreat may be used in an emergency to contact you.
Consideration for other guests
We ask all guests to be considerate of others on the retreat, in keeping with the tranquil peaceful environment.
If someone does not adhere to these rules, they will be asked to leave and no refund will be due.
Your responsibility
Insurance
Please ensure that you have taken out adequate insurance to cover airline tickets, or loss of luggage, or the retreat fee due to any unforeseen accident, event or illness.
If you partake in any activities outside the grounds of the Burren Yoga Retreat, (including surfing, boat trip, hill walking, climbing, kayaking, horse riding) please ensure you have your own insurance to cover these activities.
Burren Yoga Retreat will not be liable for any activities under taken off site.
Things happen
No matter how well you plan your retreat and travel arrangements, things can go wrong due to weather, illness, injury, flight cancellations, emergencies with other family members or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Please be aware that if you cannot attend or have to arrive later, or leave earlier than your booking details that no refunds are due no matter what the reason.
Our Assurance
We have been running our yoga retreats for over 20 years and our aim is to provide the highest quality yoga retreats in the most enjoyable retreat environment.
We only take small numbers of guests on our retreats, and as a result we have to have a firm cancellation policy because the loss of 1 person from our retreat makes a big impact to the finances of a retreat.
If you have any difficulty while you are here, we will do our best to assist to resolve any problems you may encounter.
We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible and we hope that you bring the daily practice back home with you.
