OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR SAFETY

Questions FAQ

Covid related information

We have been open since June 2021 and all our retreats are running.

Our retreats reopened on 4th June 2021 in line with the opening of hotels and guest houses.

All of our retreats are running.

We are running our retreats with reduced numbers of guests and also with a lot of new measures to ensure we maintain a safe environment.

Yes, guests and staff wear masks at all times in the retreat centre, unless seated in the duining room, or on your mat in the yoga room, or in your own bedroom.

Much of our day is spent outdoors on our Organised Outings, and we do not wear masks while outdoors.

These outings are a great way to socialise and chat with like-minded people in a very safe and uplifting environment.

We ask everybody to bring your own yoga mat. If you don’t have a yoga mat, you may buy one here for €25.

We also ask you to bring your own fleece blanket to put over you for the relaxation.

You may use our meditation cushions, blocks, cork bricks, straps, yoga chairs and bolsters while you are here. There is no sharing of these between people, and you may use them for your entire stay.

Please see What to bring with you

It is not mandatory to be vaccinated to stay at a guest house or hotel in Ireland.

In line with these policies, it is not mandatory to be fully vaccinated to attend our retreats.

However, we do stop off for lunch at a local cafe or restuarant.  It is mandatory in Ireland to be vaccinated in order to eat in a cafe/restaurant/pub.

If you are not vaccinated, these eating places cannot let you in.

You need to show them a vaccination cert to enter.

Since Covid, strangers are now allowed to share bedrooms.

If you are booking by yourself, you must book a single bedroom, either an en-suite single or one of the budget single rooms.
Since June 2021, most people are fine about sharing a car when going on the organised outings.

We wear face masks and keep the windows open in the car.

It is up to you to ask if someone can offer you a lift, and it is nice to offer to buy the person lunch in exchange.
Since Covid, during 2021 we are asking if you have been in a plane within 14 days of the start date of the retreat, that you don’t come.

This is a very difficult decision for us to make, as many of our regular guests fly in from abroad. However, it is currently part of our covid policies to ensure we maintain a very safe environment.

There is one exception, but it only applies to people who have been in Ireland for at least 5 days after being in a plance. Please contact Dave for more details.

We hope that by Easter 2022 that we will be able to relax this policy.

Please see more information at Ensuring we provide a safe environment.

Currently we are not allowing anybody enter the retreat centre who has been in a plane for the past 14 days.

This is a difficult decision for us to make as we have many regular visitors from overseas.

We hope that by Easter 2022 the incidence levels of the virus will have reduced and we can remove this precautionary restriction. In the meantime, it is possible to attend if you travel by car and ferry.
It would be best to email Dave, and let him know whether you have practiced yoga before, and also what things you can do, and also which things are not suitable for you to do.

We do have gentle yoga retreats which may be suitable. But we cannot answer this question until we know some more details.
Our retreats as well as the genuine retreat environment here are suitable for adults, or mature children over 14 years of age who are comfortable within an adult environment.

Apologies, we cannot accommodate anybody under 14 years.

It may be possible to stay in nearby accommodation and to attend the retreat here while your partner or friend looks after the younger children.

We do not have facilities suitable for dogs or pets.  We ask you to leave them at home or in a kennel facility.
