Covid related information
Fortunately, all hospitality businesses, public places and even hospitals have returned to a new normal environment.
There is no need for antigen tests, facemasks or other restrictions.
However, here at the Burren Yoga Retreat we have not become complacent, and still follow very high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
In 2021 we invested over €30,000 in state-of-the-art ventilation systems, and this contributed to us being one of the safest centres in the world with a high turnover of freshly oxygenated air on a 24/7 basis.
In Autumn 2022 we transitioned to a new-normal social environment.

It can be nice to practice on your own yoga mat and we recommend you bring your own mat.
However, you may use one of our yoga mats here if you prefer not to travel with one.
We also have new yoga mats for sale for €25.
This can be a good incentive to practice at home after your retreat here.

Since Covid, strangers are not allowed to share bedrooms.
If you are booking by yourself, you must book a single bedroom, either an en-suite single or one of the budget single rooms.
We also have the option where you can book a large spacious super-king-sized bed just for yourself if you would treat yourself.
In 2023, most people are fine about sharing a car when going on the organised outings.
We recommend that you keep the windows open slightly in the car.

Updated June 2023: In Autumn 2022 we transitioned to a New-Normal Social Environment
Our retreats offer complete freedom from Digital devices.
Phones are turned off (or airplane mode), the internet, news, and other distractions are left behind, and the resulting freedom is beneficial for a more light-hearted feeling and ability to be in the present moment.
We recommend that you take a complete digital detox.
However, there is WiFi access in the upstairs lounge for emergency use. If you need to use it, we ask you to be mindful of your fellow guests and their need for peace and quiet and lack of intrusion from the external world outside the retreat.
