The Cliffs of Moher is one of the most visited destinations in Ireland, and they get close to a million visitors each year.
Sometimes we go to the visitor centre at the Cliffs of Moher on our retreats. However, there can be many tour buses and huge numbers of people going to the visitor centre.
After our usual outings in the Burren hills and by the sea, this can be a shock to be surrounded by so many tourists.
While on our retreats, we normally go to places away from the usual tourist spots, and this is the best way to appreciate the beauty of The Burren, and also to appreciate the silence.
The views to the faraway horizons bring a lovely feeling of freedom and spaciousness. And the ancient feeling of the Burren hills has a very mystical feeling.
This is another reason why the best way to see the Cliffs of Moher is by boat.
Leave behind the external world, and allow the magic of The Burren Yoga Retreat adventures to bring a ‘Smile to your heart’
The guided adventures into Nature by the founder of the yoga centre Dave Brocklebank are an important part of the overall package and give you the opportunity to see one of the most beautiful areas in Ireland with a very experienced guide.
The Burren is an area of unspoilt beauty on the west coast of Ireland with spectacular shaped limestone hills which plunge down into the Atlantic ocean. The Burren was awarded Geopark status by UNESCO in 2011.
