Overview

The next RYT200 Yoga Alliance UK accredited Yoga Teacher Training begins February 2014.   This course is comprised of four Intensive 5 Day blocks, the dates of which are given below.   There will be a maximum of 10 Trainees on this course.

Our next RYT500 Yoga Alliance UK accredited Teacher training begins March 2014, and will have a mamimum of 5 Trainees, who must have completed the RYT 200 course with us.   This Course is comprised of 7 Blocks of Teaching Assistance covering over 50 classes with the Senior Tutors and 4 Weekend Workshops.

Both courses are suitable for anyone wishing to be trained to teach Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga.

Dates for 2014

RYT 200 – Teacher Training: 4 x 5 day blocks.
Block 1: Thurs. Feb. 27th – Monday March 3rd.
Block 2: Thurs. May 1st – Monday May 5th.
Block 3: Thurs. Oct. 2nd – Monday Oct. 6th.
Block 4: Thurs. Dec. 4th – Monday Dec. 8th.

RYT 500 – Apprenticeship and 4 Weekend Workshops.
Workshop 1: Anatomy and Adjustment 1: 22-23 March 2014
Workshop 2: Yoga Philosophy 2: 21-22 June 2014
Workshop 3: Anatomy and Adjustment 2: 20-21 Sept. 2014
Workshop 4: Subtle Anatomy: 22-23 Nov. 2014

Apprenticeship is over the course of the year in blocks of teaching 4 consecutive mysore classes, and 3 consecutive guided classes. The dates of these bloscks will be arranged with each Trainee individually.

Course Tutors

The Course will be taught by David Collins and Paula Herbert, the Directors of Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.

Both are Authorised by Manju Pattabhi Jois to teach Ashtanga Yoga. David has been practising Yoga for 24 years and teaching for 20 of those. Since 1999 he has practised and taught Ashtanga Yoga in the tradition of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Paula has been practising for over 15 years and teaching for 10 of those. Both she and David studied intensively from 2002- 2006 with Lino Miele, before going to Mysore to practice directly with Sri K.Pattabhi Jois between 2005 and 2007.  In total they have spent nearly a year in India studying Yoga.

They established Ashtanga Yoga Dublin in 2002 as a traditional Ashtanga Shala, and continue their Ashtanga studies now with Manju Jois and senior certified teacher Peter Sanson. Since 2008 both of these come annuallly to teach at Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.

Course Fees

The Course Fee is €2895. There are a number of Payment Options. Call David with any questions.
€1000 deposit (Non-refundable, non-transferable) now and balance €1895 before January 15th in the year of the course.
Early Bird rate: Full fee of €2750 payable by Sept 15 of year preceding course.
