The centre was founded by yoga teacher Dave Brocklebank in 1999, who had the vision to build a comfortable yoga centre in one of the most spectacular and special places in Ireland…. The Burren.
The Burren Geopark is an area of unspoilt beauty consisting of spectacular shaped limestone hills which plunge down into the Atlantic ocean.
Dave has specially hand-picked 15 of the best yoga and meditation teachers to teach on these quality yoga retreats.
We only take 15 people on our retreats so that everybody gets very good individual attention.
Dave’s vision was to spend a lot of time in Nature on these eco retreats, as this compliments the yoga and meditation practice, and spending time in Nature is like “Food for the Soul”.

The peacefulness and ancient feeling of The Burren have to be experienced to be believed.
Spending time on the west coast of Ireland is like stepping back 40 years in time, and the friendliness and easy going nature of the people makes one feel at home straight away.
Yet it is easy to get here with a choice of airports, train, bus and reduced fare taxi pickups.
It takes 2 ½ hours to drive from Dublin, 90% on motorway.
The nearest bus and train goes to Gort which is 6 miles away and taxi from there costs €11.

Friendliness and relaxed atmosphere on Eco Yoga Retreats
The warmth and friendliness of the atmosphere puts one at ease straight away.
Most of the people on the retreats come from Ireland with about 30% of visitors coming from overseas.
90% of our visitors come on their own, and many make friends with whom they stay in contact with for many years after the retreat.
About 30% of the retreat participants have been here before, and this contributes to the friendly atmosphere of these small groups.
Each day is structured so you can easily follow the whole programme or take time out to simply relax at the centre.

Simple accommodation with choice of Single rooms
The accommodation at the centre is sharing in rooms for 4 or 6. We have 2 double rooms. We also have 3 single rooms. Two of the single rooms have an extra bed and can sleep two.

Paddi our famous cook who used to run Seventh Heaven restaurant for over 12 years, has been with us full time since 2001. Her food is amazing and she caters for all dietary requirements.
During the guided outings, Dave will also take you to sample the best of the local cuisine in the best of cafes and restaurants.
