Kathryn Thomas attended Niamh Jones yoga boot camp at Burren Yoga and was very impressed by the weekend. You can see her report at Kathryn Thomas Yoga Boot Camp at Burren Yoga
Description of bootcamp holiday
Experience our very popular Yoga Boot Camp 6-day retreat and feel the amazing benefits of regular Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Hot Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yogalates, and Meditation giving your body a complete toning, stretching and detoxing from the inside out.
Niamh Jones is a very experienced yoga teacher and she has taught many very successful Yoga Boot Camps before, but this is her first time to run one at the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre.
This week will cover everything your body and mind needs !! – various styles of yoga, meditation, pilates and daily hiking in the Burren Hills together with excellent vegetarian food. It is a great way to give yourself that kick start you need whether you need to lose weight, tone up, deepen your yoga practice or renew your energy .
One difference about this Bootcamp holiday is that it is also a bootcamp yoga retreat, so we also include practices to learn how to relax, to let go of thoughts, and to learn meditation.
There will be daily meditation classes which will introduce Meditation to beginners and also deepen the practice of those familiar with meditation.
It is also a great way to try out a variety of different yoga classes practiced regularly each day over the week..
Each class is individually designed to work on specific parts of your body on a physical level and mental level, so by the end of the week you have worked every part of your body and mind inside and out.
Hiking in the Burren Hills each day, except Monday, when Devatara comes in to give massage. Yummy 😉
This Yoga Bootcamp Retreat is guaranteed to leave you feeling toned, stretched, rejuvenated, refreshed and full of energy on all levels.

Niamh Jones is a very dedicated yoga teacher and practitioner.
She has a lovely ‘easy going personality’ and takes the time with each person to ensure they understand the practices that she is teaching and also encourages each person in a wonderful way to reach towards your own potential.
Niamh Jones is from Co. Meath originally, and moved to Galway in 2001.
She lived in San Francisco for a while where she completed her Bikram teacher training course.
Two years later Niamh also completed a separate Ashtanga yoga teacher training.
Since then she teaches Bikram yoga in Galway and is able to draw upon her experience of the stronger Ashtanga yoga while still having a huge experience of teaching softer and more accessible variations of the postures to beginners or those who are less fit.
Niamh’s Bikram and Ashtanga experience also give her the ability to teach stronger and more challenging sequences to those in the class who are able for it.
Niamh teaches regularly at the Burren Yoga and Meditation Centre and has many people who come back to her retreats time and time again.

Some Mornings – Vinyasa Flow Yoga and Meditation– Focus: Lengthening, Strengthening and Toning the lower body – legs and hip area. We will also work deeply into the hips once again (Yin Yoga), working to create ease, openness and strength. Niamh’s bootcamp classes are tuned to each person within the class, so that each person practices to their own ability. The classes are a combination of getting in touch with one’s inner self, letting go of external stresses, and are also challenging and fun.
