Niamh will teach a variety of types of yoga including vinyasa flow, yogalates, kundalini, Bikram, ashtanga, restorative, yin, deep relaxation yoga nidra and meditation.

Niamh Jones is an inspirational and passionate leader, who introduced Bikram yoga to Ireland 20 years ago and whose enthusiasm and good humour know no bounds.

Niamh’s gentle encouragement and adjustment tweaks will help you to deepen your practice and you will be able to bring these learnings home with you.

As well as being a very gifted yoga teacher with well over 20 years experience of teaching, Niamh has completed many years of training

in Shamanic healing, she weaves in her own  invigorating energy medicine meditation to power up the seven chakras and remove blockages.

As usual we will have our daily guided outing into the Burren hills followed by a lovely lunch in one of the local cafes by the sea.

Followed by an optional invigorating sea swim or maybe a paddle if you only feel like dipping your toe into the sea.

Followed by a Bikram hot yoga in the glass walled yoga studio with stunning views over the Burren hills.

Quality Mind Body Soul retreat

This retreat works on your physical body and chakras to remove energy blockages and increase your energy in a balanced way.

You will experience various types of yoga including Vinyasa flow, Bikram hot yoga, Yin yoga and Yogalates (Blend of Pilates and Yoga).

As well as Yoga Nidra deep relation and also meditation.

Niamh Jones is an inspirational and passionate teacher, who introduced Bikram yoga to Ireland 20 years ago and whose enthusiasm and good humour know no bounds.

Niamh will lead you through challenging four-minute-long hip openers of yin, a fusion of Yoga and Pilates, and energetic ashtanga, always circling back to the downward and upward dogs of vinyasa flow. Her gentle encouragement and tiny tweaks will have you elongating your poses and stretches further than you thought possible, generating the most serene high.

In addition to physical yoga, Niamh also weaves her invigorating energy medicine class to activate the seven chakras and remove energy blockages.  She follows this with flowing kundalini hip rotations and exuberant chanting to create energy around the third eye and heart chakras.

Niamh intuitively includes elements of reiki, shamanic healing, qigong and restorative yoga in the sessions. 

Her approach often leads to our participants feeling an uplifting sense of joy.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.

You are surrounded with a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.

There are optional activities such as surfing, kayaking, sea swimming, swimming in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.

On Thursday you may like an optional treatment in our massage therapy rooms, or you may decide to take some time to yourself to either explore the Burren or put your feet up to relax at the centre.

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the week.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food.  Our chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Niamh will give variations so everyone works at their own level.

Niamh is a 500 hr advanced Yoga Teacher and has been teaching since 2001 and has been teaching at the Burren Yoga Retreat since 2004.

She has a lovely easy going personality and takes the time with each person to ensure they understand the practices and also encourages each person in a wonderful way to reach their own potential.

She is passionate in helping people to start a home practise as she believes Yoga and Meditation are invaluable tools for life, an inner journey which we grow and expand with for the rest of our lives.

Niamh has completed a number of yoga teacher trainings and teaches vinyasa classes, Bikram hot yoga, Yogalates, Hatha yoga and also meditation.
