Claudia’s classes on this August yoga retreat will consist in a beautiful blend of gentle stretching, relaxing and restorative poses to melt away physical and mental tension and deeply rest the mind and body.

We combine deep and yet easy stretches using yoga props (chairs, blocks, belts, bolsters) and restorative poses to release the stress of your week, increase flexibility, range of movement and posture.

We help you to create body awareness so you can easily adjust your posture during your normal day to avoid unnecessary tension in the muscles and areas more prone to generate physical pain (back, neck and shoulders).

Our focus will be to calm and nurture ourselves on all levels during the classes on this August yoga retreat. Including Positive Affirmations, Visualizations and Chakra’s work and meditation to enhance the experience.

There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our week-long retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.

You are surrounded with a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.

There are optional activities such as surfing, kayaking, sea swimming, swimming in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.

On Monday you may like an optional treatment in our massage therapy rooms, or you may decide to take some time to yourself to either explore the Burren or put your feet up to relax at the centre.

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the week.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food.  Our talented chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Suitable for All

This August yoga retreat is suitable for complete beginners to intermediate. 

Claudia will give more gentle variations to anybody who needs it, and you will find the relaxation is profound during her classes.

There are no comparisons made between people, and this course is suitable for everyone.

Claudia is a very welcoming yoga teacher and you will feel instantly at ease when you meet her.

The first thing you will notice about Claudia is her soft accepting happy vibe, as she makes you feel at home right away, cared for and accepted for who you are.

Her voice is soft and soothing and makes each person feel at home in her presence.

Claudia has over 19 years experience as a yoga teacher and prior to that a further 12 years as a Fitness Instructor and P.E. teacher.

Her classes are mostly soft and gentle and you will feel the loving care yoga.

Claudia has a very special quality of being able to make each person feel completely comfortable in her presence, and will guide you skillfully with acceptance no matter what you level of fitness or what your age is.
