Quality yoga and meditation weekend

Eileen teaches both Hatha flow yoga classes, and also Restorative yoga.  In her yoga flow classes  one’s focus is maintained on the breath, and coordinating the breath with the flowing movements. 

Eileen is a very experienced teacher and can teach as gentle as you would like on this retreat. Or if you prefer, Eileen can also give you more challenging practices on this yoga and meditation weekend.

She believes in the importance of including a meditative awareness into the physical practice and utilises awareness of breath, to help bring us into the present moment.

Some of her classes can start from small micro movements with awareness, coordinating with the breath, and gradually evolving into bigger global movement, allowing a sense of flow, effortless ease, that encourages each person to adapt to their own body & ability.

There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our yoga and meditation weekend retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.

You are surrounded with a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.

There are lovely places to swim in the sea or in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the weekend.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food.  Our chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Eileen Riordan OSullivan yoga teacher

Eileen teaches hatha flow yoga and also restorative yoga,  She is a very positive minded teacher and has a very caring way about her.

She has been practicing yoga for almost 30 years and teaches various types of yoga as well as Loving Kindness meditation.

She is a yoga therapist and senior restorative yoga teacher, and assists in training yoga teachers in Advanced Restorative  & Therapeutic Aspects.

Eileen believes that yoga is for everybody… no matter what age you are… what level of fitness you have… whether you have a disability or impairment or are in the peak health of your life.
