Deepening your practice and awareness on and off the mat

Eleanor teaches yoga with a sensitivity and awareness that allows you to tune inwards and bring a mindful approach to your physical yoga class. 

Her classes place a lot of awareness on the breath.  She completed a 750-hour yoga teacher training, and her extensive experience gives her a wide range of tools and techniques to apply to each individual person.

Her training included intensive study of ancient yoga texts, which she applies to our changing contemporary lives.

Eleanor teaches breath focussed meditation, which develops a deeper, more subtle awareness. It helps the body and mind to settle down, and can bring a deep state of rest, replenishment and clarity.

She weaves the philosophy of yoga into the physical practice, so we really embody the essence of yoga – to let your light shine!

Eleanor is a very experienced teacher, and her classes include both gentle and more challenging postures. All postures can be safely adapted to meet the needs of each individual. In this way, you can go deeper whilst respecting your own needs.

Eleanor brings a meditative awareness into the physical practice and utilises awareness of breath, to help bring us into the present moment.

There is a meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.

The Burren Yoga Retreat is located at the foot of the Burren hills nestled amongst the hazel trees.

You are surrounded with a vast choice of special places in the Burren where we go for hill walks, Nature Trail walks, walks by the sea, beautiful beaches and forests to explore.

There are lovely places to swim in the sea or in our nearby lake which heats up during the summer.

All our classes, outings and meals are optional, so you are free to join all or some as you please during the week.

However over 95% of people relish the freedom of not having to decide or choose what to do each day, and go with the full programme which is a well tried recipe which we have been running and improving on since 1999.

We are famous for our food and so many people have said they would come back time and time again just for the amazing vegetarian food.  Our chef will prepare all our vegetarian meals with organic and locally sourced vegetables and the finest ingredients.

Eleanor will give more gentle variations to anybody who needs it, and will also challenge those who are ready for it.

Eleanor teaches yoga with a sensitivity and awareness that allows you to tune inwards and bring a mindfulness to your physical yoga class. Her training was informed by the teaching of TKV Desikacher, and his father, the great teacher T. Krishnamachrya, who first brought yoga into the West.

Her classes place a lot of awareness on the breath.  She completed a 750 hour yoga teacher training and her extensive experience gives her a wide range of tools and techniques to apply to each individual person.

Eleanor teaches a mindful, breath focussed meditation to help you to observe the thoughts rather than being caught up or carried away by them.

Eleanor is a very experienced teacher, and her classes include gentle postures as well as some challenging ones so that each person will be taught what is appropriate to them at this time.

Eleanor brings a meditative awareness into the physical practice and utilises awareness of breath, to help bring us into the present moment.

There is a lovely combination of awareness yoga on this mindfulness weekend.

There is a mindfulness meditation class in the morning and evening each day, and one of the benefits of our retreats is that you can then take these practices home with you.
