We have mindfulness meditation on every single one of our yoga and meditation retreats.
Some of the retreats may have Mindfulness in the title, and these retreats have the same amount of Mindfulness meditation instruction as all our other retreats.
The Burren Yoga and Meditation Retreat was founded in 1999 by yoga and meditation teacher Dave Brocklebank.
Mindfulness meditation has been the cornerstone of yoga for over 5,000 years.
Dave has hand-picked the best yoga and meditation teachers to teach on these retreats.
Dave has ensured that mindfulness meditation remains the most important part of all of our retreats.
Dave designed and built the yoga centre in 1999 with the motivation to provide the best yoga and meditation teaching within a quality retreat package which
included guided outings into Nature, the best of vegetarian food, small groups of 16 people or less, and running these retreats in a quality and enjoyable way.
In 2021 the yoga retreat centre was expanded to 3 times the size of the original centre to provide en-suite bedrooms, dedicated massage therapy rooms,
and a new glass-walled yoga studio with stunning views over the Burren hills.
Dave has been practising meditation since 1978 and yoga since 1988 and has hand-picked this team of 16 highly trained and very inspiring yoga and meditation teachers using his knowledge and experience in selecting the best teachers.
These are quality meditation weekends with some important aspects that make them stand out from many other meditation weekend retreats.
